Culture Night is an annual all-island public event that celebrates culture, creativity and the arts. This year, it takes place on Friday, 16th September with hundreds of free events appearing all around the country between 5pm to 11pm.
On Culture Night, arts and cultural organisations and venues of all shapes and sizes extend their opening hours to allow for increased access to the public.
Special and unique events and workshops are specifically programmed at participating locations and everything is available free of charge.
The Royal Hospital Donnybrook (RHD) provides hospital care for people requiring rehabilitation, respite, complex continuing care, and day hospital facilities. The art collection was started in the 1980s to improve the environment for patients. Today the collection comprises some 140 works by such artists as Patrick Scott, Tony O'Malley and many more. Guided tours of the hospital's art collection will take place at 6pm and 7pm.
